FUJITSU wimax solution update

Fujitsu’s Mobile WiMAX SoC (MB86K23) solution, a highly integrated one-chip MAC and PHY mixed signal baseband SoC, is designed to optimize both performance and power consumption using Fujitsu’s 65nm process technology, and is especially well-suited for USB dongle and mobile devices. Fujitsu’s Mobile WiMAX SoC is certified to be fully compliant with the research 802.16e-2005 WiMAX standard (Wave 2).
Fujitsu’s new RF module, MB86K71, contains all the necessary RF circuits for Mobile WiMAX devices including RF-IC, antenna switches, a power amplifier, filters, and an oscillator circuit. This RF module supports MIMO and beamforming technology, thereby enabling high-speed and reliable wireless connections that are essential for Mobile WiMAX devices.
The Fujitsu MB87M3550 WiMAX SoC is a cost-effective, fully integrated MAC and PHY mixed-signal baseband processor for Broadband Wireless Access applications. This SoC is designed to support frequencies ranging from 2 to11GHz in both licensed and unlicensed bands. Fujitsu’s WiMAX SoC is fully compliant with the research 802.16-2004 WiMAX standard and can be configured to be used in both base station and subscriber station applications. Fujitsu’s WiMAX SoC is currently being implemented in WiMAX Forum
